Code-named “Silver,” the new guidelines may have a broader scope than WCAG 2, extending beyond web content to include content authoring, authoring tools, user agents, and assistive technology support. The guidelines will continue to expand on support for a broad range of disability needs with additional input from the Cognitive Accessibility Task Force.

Join Jonathan Avila, Chief Accessibility Officer at Level Access and member of the W3C’s Accessibility Guidelines Working Group, to learn about the future of accessibility guidelines, including:

  • Challenges and limitations with the current WCAG guidelines
  • Goals and direction of future guidelines (including a WCAG 2.2 update)
  • Tentative timelines for the new guidelines
