On Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 9pm EST, we will be releasing to all Level Access-hosted production systems. You can expect an outage of up to 4 hours at that time.
This release includes updates to all Level Access products.
The focus of this release is on automatic testing and analytics, as well as overall quality. Highlights Include:
Access Analytics Data Refinements
A number of improvements were made to Access Analytics to improve performance and data quality, including:
- The “Average Violations per Impression” metric has been changed to a more useful metric, per user feedback — “Average Violations per Page.”
- Browser compatibility has been improved, so more page visits are tracked and tested for accessibility. Customers should notice an increase in the number of impressions, as a result, and a proportional increase in the number of violation instances.
Data updates will be run during non-peak hours ahead of the release to minimize impact to the application during normal usage. As such, customers will notice some of these data updates on the morning of Monday, September 30th, ahead of the release.
More Automatic Testing with Access Engine
A number of new automatic tests have been added to Access Engine, and some existing tests have been updated to improve accuracy and reduce false positives. Review the detailed release notes for all of the updates.
Access University Course Reformatting
Access University courses have all been reformatted to improve readability and navigation. Course content is now logically divided into topical sections, with additional navigation options to allow users to navigate forward and backward through the course. These changes also impact course progress reporting, allowing course progress for users to be tracked at a more granular level for each course.
