Written by: Kim Phillips

Presentation Date: November 7, 2019

In 2013, the Department of Transportation sent the airline industry scrambling to bring their websites into compliance when it announced new, stringent requirements for web accessibility.

But now that the 2015 and 2016 ACAA deadlines have passed, what comes next?

Chief Experience Officer Derek Featherstone talked about ways airlines can harness the immense value of accessibility into measurable return on investment, and the three key tenets he views as must have considerations for the airline industry:

    • The Rise of Mobile: Mitigating Risk & Great UX
    • Sustainability: Better Accessibility Results, Lower Cost
    • Inclusive Design: Transition From Reactive to Proactive
