Applying the Accessible Design Framework: Demonstration Videos
For an accessible design practice to be successful, accessibility work needs to align with the way design teams already operate. Accessibility should map to teams’ existing design models and fit into their current processes.
In this video series, Karen Hawkins, Level Access’s Principal of Accessible Design, demonstrates the Accessible Design Framework: a practical framework designers can use to seamlessly integrate accessibility into their way of working. Building on the Accessible Design Principles and Heuristics, Hawkins shows how to apply accessibility thinking to any design problem.

Put the accessible design principles into action
In her guide, Accessible Design Principles and Heuristics, Hawkins introduces more than 170 design principles and heuristics based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These principles and heuristics function as the “what” of accessible design—but what about the “how”?
This video series answers that question, offering tangible guidance for approaching common design use cases with accessibility in mind.
