In our last post in the Web Accessibility 101 Series Senior Accessibility Consultant Thomas Logan demonstrated Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Dragon) speech recognition software. In this week’s featured video Thomas demonstrates the use of Microsoft Word with Dragon.
Dragon NatuallySpeaking allows users to control their computer using only their voice, without the need for a mouse or keyboard. Dragon allows individuals with limited to no mobility for whom typing or use of a mouse may be difficult or impossible to perform keyboard and mouse actions and dictate text using voice commands.
Thomas demonstrates several actions performed in Word using only voice commands via Dragon, including entering text in a document, inserting an image, using the mouse grid and adding alt text to an image.
