The 2020 State of Digital Accessibility Report

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 meant digital technology played a greater role than ever in how people worked, shopped, socialized, and sought essential services like health care. And the need for accessible digital platforms and products became more urgent than ever.

Based on a survey of more than 1,100 professionals, the 2020 State of Digital Accessibility Report illuminates how teams of all sizes, in both the public and private sectors, approached digital accessibility in an unprecedented year. Request the report for candid insight into the trends that shaped the 2020 digital accessibility landscape, and to benchmark your own program.

In 2020, organizations prioritized accessible B2B technology

More than 55% of the organizations we surveyed have prioritized buying a product or solution because of its accessibility. Only 25% did not ask vendors for any form of proof of accessibility before purchasing new technology. This suggests that, as digital tools play a more integral in workplace productivity, accessibility is critical to success for business-to-business (B2B) software companies. Request the full report to learn more about key digital accessibility developments, and get answers to questions like:

  • What were the top business drivers for digital accessibility programs?
  • What percentage of organizations included people with disabilities in their accessibility testing?
  • Which accessibility activities were most frequently outsourced?
  • What types of testing tools did organizations use in their accessibility programs?

The 2020 State of Digital Accessibility Report is researched and written by Level Access in collaboration with G3ict and IAAP.
